Amahumbezi Workplace- Welcoming Word

MUTETESHE Theodette, Chairperson of Aburugwiro Women Development Organization (AWDO) welcoming all of you here in AWDO’s social median in AMAHUMBEZI’s factory.

The reusable « AMAHUMBEZI »pad is made of washable clothes well fabricated. We pack 10 pieces in a good small bag, for one student so she can make necessary replacements if needs be. With AMAHUMBEZI she won’t miss school during her monthly period.

Also, it prevents them to request debts for pad without having money to pay them, which might result them having unplanned pregnancy and which could stop their education.

We were able to help students on our own, we were also funded by UNESCO. With their help, we have distributed AMAHUMBEZI to 500 students from two different schools.

At every distribution, we respond to a big number of needs, resources are not enough. Students Consider this important, that they even cry for not receiving them.

For that reason, we are asking for funding’s, partnerships, materials as well as workers/manpower so that we will be able to provide AMAHUMBEZI to every schoolgirl in need since it is a necessity everywhere in the country especially for those who cannot afford spending 1200rwf ~1.2$ every month.!

This is also hard for families with up to 3 girls who are even struggling to have food from the first place.

Let’s consider this project as our own and help our girls to a better education for their best development as well as for our country.

Thank you all so much
